Another Successful Conference!

Event Organisation

At the end of March Roar Marketing put on a major event for one of our longest standing clients, Advantia Business Solutions.  This client is a not for profit organisation operating in the business supplies sector.  Roar handled every aspect of the event from finding the best location, handling delegate bookings, making all the arrangements for catering and timings with the venue, working with our AV partner to design and build the stage set, sound and lighting.  We also managed workshops as well as the main conference programme.  We booked Harry Wallop, former retail editor of the Daily Telegraph and now a regular presenter on Channel 4s Dispatches programmes and The Gadget Show as the keynote speaker.  We completely transformed the conference room in just two hours into the magical world of Merlin, complete with an actor hired to play Merlin for the night.  There was a quiz which we wrote and that was completed on i-pads.  Following the event we have written a press release which has been used by one of their industry trade magazines, and we designed and sent out a feedback and future event planning questionnaire on behalf of the client.  We will be meeting with the client at the end of April to review the survey results.  Massive amount of work, and you never know what set-backs you might get during the event.  With any event there is no dress rehearsal, you need to plan carefully and have the right partners, skills and experience to make sure the event runs brilliantly come what may, and this is something that we enjoy and excel at.
